Sixteen Year-Old Alex Kennedy Set To Run Lime Rock
in Spraker Racing Entry

Mooresville, NC - August 11, 2008

After a successful test session at Lime Rock Park on July 29th, Alex Kennedy has been named to pilot the #37 Chevrolet owned by Jeff Spraker of Spraker Racing Enterprises, at the upcoming NASCAR Camping World East Series event on August 16th.

Alex Kennedy side-by-side with Jeffrey Earnhardt A dozen teams from this NASCAR touring series made the trip to the picturesque Lime Rock park facility to try out the recently re-paved surface on the twisting 1.5 mile road course. This would be the first time the full-bodied stock cars would run laps on the new pavement, and the overall results were quite positive. Unofficial lap times were equivalent to previous years times, and Alex was among the quickest cars in attendance.

Team Owner Jeff Spraker comments: "Alex seems to adapt very quickly to new tracks and this was no exception. We prepared our proven road race chassis for him, and he was quick right off the trailer. We really looked at this session as a learning experience - to become familiar with the course itself, and get some time on the new surface. But in a very short time, he was turning some excellent lap times, and that was really a bonus! We are optimistic about our chances when we return for the race itself - Alex is such quick study and he has a real talent for road courses. He learned a great deal about the competition in this Series earlier this year at Thompson, and we believe he has the potential to run well at the Lime Rock track."

Alex has some previous road course experience in Legends Cars on the West Coast, and also competed in the Camping World West Series event in Sonoma, CA earlier this year, where he finished in 11th. Alex comments: "I was really pleased with the day of testing at Lime Rock. I got to know the layout of the course, and to run laps with some of the veteran drivers in this Series. Jeff Spraker gave me a great car, and he was able to give me some tips, since he has run on this track himself. I'm really looking forward to coming back for the race - there are great teams in this series and I'm grateful for the chance to race with them !"

The young driver from Aztec, NM has been racing since the age of 5, and has accumulated an impressive record of accomplishments in his career including state, regional and national championships in Legends Cars and Bandoleros. He moved up to Late Models in 2006 and ran in the ASA Late Model Series in 2007, where he finished in the top-ten in Series points. In the spring of 2008, he also ran a Spraker-prepared Late Model at Caraway Speedway in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series where he posted a third place finish in his second outing in this series.

In addition to his commitment to driving a race car, Alex is also a National Ambassador for Dream Factory, Inc., an organization that grants dreams to children diagnosed with chronic, or life-threatening illnesses, who are ages 3 to 18. At each event where Alex races, he takes the opportunity to raise awareness for this organization - their web site address is: www.dreamfactoryinc.com.

Spraker Racing Enterprises
Mid-Season Update

Mooresville, NC - August 10, 2008

The crew at Spraker Racing have been busy during the first half of the 2008 season, preparing cars for competition in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, as well as selected events in the NASCAR Camping World East Series. Jeff Sparker also acts as a "Consultant/Crew Chief" for some events in the NASCAR Camping World West Series.

Team Glock Chevrolet by Spraker Racing. The team competes full-time in the ARCA RE/MAX Series with the Team GLOCK Chevrolets driven by 21 year-old Dexter Bean, of Westby, WI. This is the first year that Spraker Racing and GLOCK Inc. have joined together to run the complete ARCA schedule, which has a diverse schedule of events from Daytona, to a new road course at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The #37 Chevy has been in contention at every event - usually in the top-ten in practice, and running "up-front" on a regular basis. The team has recorded four top-tens, with the highlight of the season being the Toledo race, where Bean led over 40 laps, and posted a strong 3rd place finish.

The crew is now preparing for the final third of the ARCA schedule, with events on two dirt tracks, the tough half-mile at Salem, the ultra-fast Chicagoland Speedway, the new road course in New Jersey, the high-banks of Talladega, and a return to the site of early season success for the finale at Toledo.

In addition to the full-time ARCA schedule, the Spraker Racing team also prepares cars for selected NASCAR Camping World East Series events.

The team competed in the season opener at Greenville-Pickens Speedway with West Coast driver, Kyle Cattanach, who had never seen the historic half-mile track prior to the event. With limited practice due to rain, Kyle ran a very competitive race but saw a top-15 snatched from his grasp when he was caught in a final lap incident. Since that race, Kyle has moved to North Carolina and has joined the team at Spraker Racing as a fabricator and crew member.

The next event for S parker Racing in the CWE Series was at South Boston, with teen age phenom, Alex Kennedy of Aztec, NM piloting the Spraker car. Alex practiced in the top six, and qualified 19th for the 150 lap event at SoBo. The event proved to be one of the most "incident-filled" races in series history, with over half of the event being run under caution. Alex was involved in one of those early skirmishes, but gained a great deal of experience that night!

Team Glock Chevrolet by Spraker Racing. Road course specialist Nick deBruijn piloted the #37 Spraker entry at the famed Watkins Glen road course in June. After a test session in May, with dark skies and 45 degree temperatures, the race weekend at The Glen was one of hottest in recent memory with near 100 degree readings. Nick was in second in the first practice and posted an impressive 5th place qualifying run. This event was also plagued with a series of on-track incidents and rainy weather conditions that caused some "red-flag" situations. Nick ran in top-ten for the first third of the event before becoming involved in a wreck that ended the day early for the talented driver from Holland.

For company owner Jeff Spraker, a trip to the west coast (Infineon Raceway) was next on the agenda, to act as Crew Chief for "road-course ace" P.J. Jones, who was running a team car to West Series champ Mike David, for owner Randy Lynch. Spraker and Jones have worked together in the past and looked like they were in contention for a win when P.J. was hit by another competitor causing terminal damage to the racing machine.

Thompson Speedway in Connecticut, saw the return of 16 year-old Alex Kennedy at the CWE event in July. Again, Alex was in the top 3 in practice, before posting a 19th place qualifying time. He ran an exceptional race, with coaching from owner, Jeff Spraker - a veteran of years of competition at this track in the former "Busch North" Series. Alex made a steady run to the front - up to 7th, with one lap to go, when he cut down a right-front tire. It was an impressive run that did not go unnoticed by Series regulars.

Next up in the East Series will be the tricky road course at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. After a very successful test session with Alex Kennedy at the end of July, the Spraker team will return for the race event on August 16th, with high hopes for a solid run with the youngster, who holds several Legends Car championships.

DEXTER BEAN & TEAM GLOCK IMPRESSIVE
IN DEBUT AT DAYTONA

Dexter Bean made the most of his recent visit to the high banks of Daytona, posting "top of the chart" times in every practice session leading up to the ARCA 200. The Spraker Racing prepared Monte Carlo was the in the top 10 in the initial practices and he was the fastest car in "Happy Hour", the final on-track session before the Saturday afternoon event. This was the debut for Dexter driving the GLOCK sponsored machine, and reunites him with team owner and crew chief, Jeff Spraker.

A live television audience watched on SPEED TV as Dexter meticulously cut his way through the field, advancing from his 20th starting spot , up to 14th before a transmission problem forced the Team GLOCK driver in to the pits on lap 17. The Spraker Racing crew installed a new transmission in record time, but the Westby, WI driver was many laps in arrears at this point.

But, determined to make the most of this difficult situation, Dexter took to the track for a re-start on the inside front row on lap 33 and quickly pushed his Monte Carlo in to the lead. He was blistering the track with some of the fastest times recorded during the event, and ran in the top three, until the 10 lap-to-go mark. At this point, owner/crew chief Jeff Spraker, advised Dexter to pull out of the draft and let the cars on the lead lap race for the win. Spraker comments: "We had a great car all weekend, but due to a $5 part breaking, we had to head to the garage to change out the transmission. Dexter did a great job and he showed that Team GLOCK is a force to be reckoned with this year."

States driver Bean: "It wasn't the final outcome we had hoped for (22nd), but everyone knew we were here with a car that could contend for the win! We're gearing up now for the next race at Salem, which is a track where we have had success in the past - hopefully we'll have a little more luck there!"

Smyrna, GA, February 1, 2008

When Dexter Bean gets behind the wheel of the Team GLOCK Monte Carlo for the February 9th running of the ARCA 200 at Daytona, it will mark the 50th career start in the ARCA RE/MAX Series for the 21 year old driver.

The Westby, Wisconsin native turned his first laps in this Series with family-owned team cars in 2005, running four events and posting two top-10 finishes. It was at this time that Dexter first worked with Jeff Spraker, who acted as Crew Chief and consultant on these initial efforts. It was apparent from the beginning that these two shared the same passion, desire and determination to succeed, and they have developed these attributes into a strong sense of trust and communication that has resulted in continued success on the track !

Dexter has compiled an outstanding record of achievement in the three seasons that he has run in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, participating full-time in 2006, and 2007. To date, he has recorded 17 Top-10 finishes, and topped off the 2007 season with a third place in the overall ARCA RE/MAX Series Point standings.

2008 will mark a significant change for Dexter, as he has been selected to drive the Team GLOCK Chevrolets which are owned and prepared by Jeff Spraker and his crew from Spraker Racing Enterprises in Mooresville, NC.. This operation has 30 years of racing heritage, and Spraker brings a wealth of knowledge, as a driver and owner, to this team. GLOCK, the Austrain firearms maunfacturer, recently renewed their contract with the Spraker organization for a second year, and the team will run the entire ARCA Series for this season. States Spraker: "GLOCK has given us a great opportunity to work together in 2008. We had a successful test here in December and we are optimistic about our chances at Daytona. Dexter really looked good drafting during the test - that should be beneficial with so many rookie contenders!" Driver Bean adds: "It feels good to come back to Daytona having run here twice in the past. You learn something every time, and I'm hopeful that our good test results, coupled with our past experience, will pay off with a good run!" It is interesting to note that former driver Spraker, and his young driver met only once as competitors on the race track - at the Daytona ARCA event in 2005. That day Spraker bested the young Bean with a 9th place finish, and Dexter is anxious to see if he can eclipse his mentor's results, which would be a credit to both in 2008!

The past month has provided Dexter with the opportunity to meet many GLOCK dealers and distributors at several shows, including appearances with the team show car and simulator in Columbia, SC and Greenville, NC. Both Dexter and Jeff Spraker will be attending the annual SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) in Las Vegas, just prior to the ARCA 200. The GLOCK show car will also be on display at this show, which is the largest and most comprehensive trade exposition for professionals involved with shooting sports and hunting industries. Attendance is estimated to be over 40,000, with buyers from 50 states and 75 countries.

This car comes to the Spraker stable with a strong Daytona pedigree, having been the one that Mark Martin piloted to an exciting runner-up finish in the 2007 Daytona 500. Both cars responded well to adjustments, which showed on the stop watch, in the over 100 laps that were logged between them. Driver Dexter Bean states: " I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity that GLOCK, Inc. and Jeff Spraker have given to me. Team GLOCK Rocks at "The Rock"

Dexter Bean, piloting the Team GLOCK Chevrolet, posted the second fasted time in the ARCA open test in Rockingham, NC on Friday, March 21st. Over 40 cars took time at the venerable mile track which is so rich in NASCAR racing heritage. Spraker Racing prepared two cars for the test session, and at the conclusion of the first day, the team cars were listed as second and fifth, with a fast lap of 142.141 mph.

Team owner Jeff Spraker, who has been a competitior himself on this track, was pleased with the overall test performance. States Spraker: "We accomplished a great deal at this test which will be valuable in setting up our cars for the May 4th race. Both of the cars ran very well - our biggest concern with the this track is tire wear. We spent a great deal of time on Saturday determining how to manage that for the race in May. Dexter did a great job on the track and gained some valuable experience. This test session gave Dexter the confidence that every car he gets in, that this teams prepares, will be competitive."

Driver Bean commented: "To me, this track is a lot like Salem - just a little bigger, that's all. The place is bumpy; it's a handful just like Salem, but what a fun place to drive This is definitely my kind of track. You have to drive the car all the way around and stay on top of the wheel. We brought two cars, and both worked so well, that now we're wondering which one we're going to use! This is a very cool track, and I can't wait for the race."

The Rockingham track, which has not seen racing competition since 2004, will host the ARCA RE/MAX Series with the running of the Carolina 500 on May 4th. The event will be televised live on SPEED Channel at noon, and is scheduled to start 50 cars on the one-mile oval.

After an extremely competitive run at the season opening event in Daytona, which was foiled by a transmission issue, Team GLOCK is looking forward to the next scheduled ARCA RE/MAX Series event in Salem, IN on April 13th. Prior to that race, the team will be testing at the Salem track where Dexter has posted two runner-up finishes in the past.
